HTCS®-130 DC

HTCS® is a high performance hot work steel with very high thermal conductivity of up to 62 W/m·K, combined with the typical mechanical properties of high quality hot work tool steels, good machinability and excellent polishability. HTCS®-130DC features extreme purity, micro-cleanliness and very fine microstructure and can be texturized, nitrided and coated - for detailed information please contact ROVALMA.

Applications:

  • Dies for die casting applications to reduce manufacturing costs by increasing the tool durability and process productivity along with a reduction of generated scrapes. Inserts and dies with complex geometries that tend to have soldering or hot spot problems
  • Dies for plastic injection molding to reduce cycle time by decreasing cooling time. HTCS®-130DC also allows reducing scrapes by increasing the solidification rate and homogenous temperature distribution over the die cavity surface during the steady state production process.

Delivery Condition:

  • Annealed up to ~ 250HB

Typical Working Hardness Range:

  • 34-52 HRc
