GreenH2Pipes Project: boosting hydrogen generation and transport through existing infrastructures

ROVALMA is proud to announce that it is member of a consortium of 8 companies and 6 research centres that have joined their complementary competences in the GreenH2Pipes project to promote the research and technological development necessary to boost hydrogen production, its transport through the gas grid and its storage by means of liquid organic carriers.

This project, co-financed by the CDTI, supported by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation and European funds from the Recovery and Resilience Mechanism, will contribute to facilitating the decarbonisation of the energy system and has three independent lines of work that cover the entire hydrogen value chain, from hydrogen generation to its subsequent injection, transport, and storage.

ROVALMA will participate in the first line of work, which consists of researching new materials and processes to manufacture a new generation of Proton Exchange Membrane electrolysers, which will reduce manufacturing costs while preserving efficiency and durability.
